Instructional Designs for Responsible Citizenship

In addition to this research, I continue to be interested in the different instructional approaches that can promote responsible citizenship. I am continuing research in the department of Sexuality, Marriage, and Family Studies around the ways that I ePortfolios can support community service learning and skills development at the programmatic level. I am also planning to conduct some research with colleagues at Bronx Community College around “Threshold Concepts” in History and the ways we can engage learners in that discipline in the “real world.” These various projects point to the need to engage students in exploring critical questions in society.   As such, I continue to explore instructional designs that promote responsible citizenship.
